Kelab Teater Putra

Beginning with the first Malaysia Agriculture University (UPM) Convocation Festival at Expo Hill in 1977, the initiative arose among UPM employees in an effort to highlight the artistic talents of their particular roles in theater. So the intention of the Theatre Club was founded with the name UPM Theatre Club (UPMTC).

At that time, membership in this club is open to UPM staff and placed under the control of Mr Nordin Kardi, the administrative officer of the division of Student Affairs. UPMTC inaugural involvement in theater began to take place with "Capital" as entries for invited Malaysia Inter-Varsity Drama and Theatre Festival for the very first time it was held at the National University of Malaysia, which is also held during the year. "Capital" also showed Mr Nordin Kardi as the first director in the history of the early establishment of UPMTC.

Recognizing the theater gained a place in the hearts of the staff of UPM, UPMTC have been restructuring its organization on 1st November 1981 with the aim of making the theater as one leisure activity among the staff of UPM. Tuan Hj. Md. Said Hj. Nordin was appointed as a theatre director and chairman.

 With this restructuring, UPMTC has changed its image to UPM Group Theatre (UPMGT) in combination with members of Tuan Hj. Md. Said Hj. Nordin, Mr Saheh Said, Mr At Ziafrizani Chek Pa, Mrs Farah Alia Abu Bakar, Mrs. Nettylina Abu Bakar, Mr Amirul Ariffin, Mr. Sharifuddin Mohd Yusof, Tuan Hj. Muhammad Mohd. Yusof, Mr Razali Othman, Mr Nor Bakri Ibrahim, Mr Mohd Zaini Badrom, Mr Mohd Riduan Dollah, Mr. Muhammad Mokhtar Abd. Rahman, Mr. Badril Baharom, Mr. Hakam Abdullah, Mr Said Osman, Mr Mohd Alauddin Abu Ghani and Mrs. Hasmah Dain.

 In June 2010 UPMGT was changed its name back to Kelab Teater Uniputra UPM. Establishment of Kelab Teater Uniputra was revived with the involvement of the staff and students of the university. The onset of a new spirit has entered when PKKSSAAS held Open Theatre Manifestations Competition 2010. From the result from the program, the desire to highlight the theater began to burn up till in 2011, Kelab Teater Uniputra has created PKKSSAAS  history by enacting 'Soul Fragment Independence Theatre, involving fifty (50) members consisting of students and staff. Kelab Teater Uniputra has grown until today to accept bookings from various forms of theater such as pentomen, puisidra and monodrama.
