Ngajat Dance

Ngajat dance for Iban people is a dance during Gawai Day celebrations. Dancers use traditional dances like sirat, gagung, or bird costume and hat decorated with bird feathers. Giant is a type of thick and hard clothes made of animal skins such as bears leather but not sewn left and right. The dance is performed by standing above the circle of ups and downs, the dancer will jump along with the accompaniment of the song in which each beat is played according to the ceremony. Another dance is that dancers will hold a left-handed armor and a sword in the right hand and dance like a face with the enemy by swinging his left and right hands. The tools used in this dance are like big and small gongs, drums, loudspeakers, wraths, horror and Sapeh, a stringed instrument like a guitar.
