On 27 Sept 2017 – Pusat Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSSAAS) has successfully held Evacuation Program Drill with collaboration with Occupational Safety and Health Office (PPKKP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and PKKSSAAS’s Emergency Response Team (ERT). This activity is a compulsory activity also collaborated with Unit Bantu Mula, UPM.
The purpose of the program is to develop and as training to our staff at PKKSSAAS for our immediate action required in any circumstances occurred as emergency response team (ERT) itself.
Besides that, the objective of this activity also to train our Emergency Response Team (ERT) to identifies their duties and responsibilities given with regard the procedures.
Participants had been given briefing by Tuan Haji Anuar bin Haji Ahmad, Incident Commander (ERT-PTJ) and Encik Muhammad Mokhtar bin Abdul Rahman, Sekretariat (JKKP-PTJ) explains their duties and responsibilities regarding the importance of this activity training to identify and learn how to take safety steps and procedure involved rather real bad things happened in the future.
In the morning at 9:00 p.m. this training started and observed by 6 person from Unit Bantu Mula, PPKKP UPM lead-by Encik Hasmi Sulaiman and assist by Encik Mokhtar Ami from Development Office And Asset Management (PPPA) UPM.
This training started by making cloud of smoke in one of the section and ERT rung the security alarm system. During the training, there were one (1) victims was being trapped with a broken leg and suffering from asthma respectively has been saved.
According to Unit Bantu Mula, UPM, ERT-PKKSSAAS had successfully pull off building evacuation operation and rescued victim in two minutes, less five minutes set by PPKKP, UPM after emergency alarm activated. Fire engine and ambulance also had been used in this training session to provide real experience to the participants consisting PKKSSAAS’s staff and students.
Last but not least, Unit Bantu Mula UPM has praised and acknowledge participant’s attendant in this training session. Congratulations to PKKSSAAS's ERT and participant involved!
