Hijrah Ramadhan 2017 PKKSSAAS

Olak Lempit, Banting – On 17 Jun 2017 (Saturday) equivalent to 22nd Ramadhan 1438H, a total of 34 occupants of Madrasah Tahfiz Raudhatul Baiduri, Olak Lempit Banting were celebrated in 2017 Hijrah Ramadhan’s program organized by  Culture and Arts Center, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, UPM (PKKSSAAS UPM). Hijrah Ramadhan’s Program is a 5th program organized and it is an annual program beginning in 2013. In the past few years the program was conducted at the Culture and Arts Center SSAAS UPM. For the first time this year, the Hijrah Ramadhan’s program was held at Madrasah Tahfiz Raudhatul Baiduri, Olak Lempit Banting, Selangor Darul Ehsan from 4.30pm to 10.00pm.

The program aims to cheer the orphans who live in Madrasah Tahfiz Raudhatul Baiduri, Olak Lempit. The community of PKKSSAAS UPM has been touched and mingled with these children and immersing their feelings. This good program can give a sense of gratefulness especially to PKKSSAAS UPM residents.

Among the activities held were:

i) Asr prayer, Maghrib, Isha’ and tarawikhprayers
ii) Delivery session of rice, ‘green envelopes’ and souvenirs
iii) UPM tree planting session
iv) Tahlil Brief reading
v) Iftar ceremony with orphans
iv) A reception and Moreh

2017 Hijrah Ramadhan’s program advisor, Tuan Haji Anuar Haji Ahmad, Director of PKKSSAAS UPM said this idea was triggered by the realization and awareness that orphans are complementary to a peaceful and harmonious society. They are also the spur that will move the country in the future.

In addition, orphans should be noted as they are less fortunate because of the absence of a parent or both who are the places for them to express and devote their love.

The objective of the program is to assist and to provide some cheerfulness and contribution as a sign of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from us and University Putra Malaysia in general. The funds that have been collected are distributed to those less fortunate like these orphans.

"I pray that these children will be given the opportunity to study up to the ivory tower and be among the lucky ones to pursue further studies at University Putra Malaysia," he said.

The ceremony also ended with friendly and more fun activities with the orphans.
