TETUANG PUTRA CLUB

Tetuang Putra Club was established in 2011 with the participation of PKKSSAAS staff. Nevertheless, its membership is open to UPM students, staff and alumni who are interested in learning to play tetuang. Tetuang Putra Club usually performs in official and ceremonial events such as the Convocation Ceremony, Putra Gemilang Ceremony, Putra Academia Council and related ceremonies. Tetuang, a blowing instrument made of a cow or buffalo horn, emits sound and echoes through air vibrations produced by blowing. In the past, it was used to gather or inform villagers, depending on the sound made, of an event that requires the villagers to respond, to be ready and to be at a certain location.
