MOHE committed to enhancing the role of women

SERDANG,Culture and Art Center of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSSAAS) 27th March 2018 takes place a program of 'Keeping in Touch #Mywomen in Higher Education' held in conjunction with World Women Day celebration of Higher Education Ministries at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) today.


Ministry of Higher Education will continue to enhance the role of women in education at higher education. The Minister, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said that it is important to show balance between women and men in education field. He explained, through the employment sector, women are now given more opportunities to stay active in Revolution Industry 4.0 which they are now able to work from home.


Besides, he explained that men should not feel threaten to women’s achievement in any field because women should be given a fair opportunities in order to balance the achievements together.

“We see the balance of women’s achievement need to be improved inorders for balance to exist so that graduated women which expertise also been given balance and opportunity to work and not as a threat,” he said.

 


This is proven by the appointment of Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching as Deputy Minister and Tan Sri Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur as Chief Secretary of the Ministry which both of them are the first woman in their portfolio respectively.
