24/05/2017 - Main Hall, PKKSSAAS UPM once again witnessed a ceremony of Putra Glorious Awards and Celebration of Labour Day 2017 at the same time. Vice Chancellor of UPM, Professor Datin Paduka expressed her thanks and appreciation to the committee involved in the initiative of organizing the event which was very meaningful to citizen of UPM. She believed that this event gives deep meaning to the University and its citizens, in which the commitment and outstanding achievements in the University celebrated with awards and recognition. The committee hope that citizen of UPM are critical and constructive in fulfilling responsibility to find creative and innovative solutions that tap into the mind, and dared to experiment with new methods of work out of the box.

The theme of Celebration of Labour Day 2017 this time is “Creative Workers Triggered Innovation”. Understanding of Innovation is the result of creative ideas and innovative in several aspects of the work to improve the quality and productivity of the organization including the changes in systems and procedure, methods and ways of working as well as the introduction of technology. Results from the implementation of this innovative idea can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
